This made me laugh out loud. Felt way too real.

spoiler Funny how getting the good ending was a question of doing the exact same things I did in real life to start actually finishing my writing projects.

Also, kudos for using RPG Maker and avoiding the Scope Creep yourself!

well i would like to say that but

  • used twine? nope
  • branching paths? yep
  • revised one part? yep

so yeah me and scope creep are practically making out on the couch over here

Haha! Well, then kudos for at least wrangling it to the couch.

I really enjoyed this! It's so cool that you thought to make it with RPG Maker. It worked out extremely well, and the theme of scope creep is really on-point when it comes to a game jam XD I struggled with scope creep for sure when trying to make a tiny game, so that hit really close to home.

oh yeah thanks for playing!! i had the idea for this story for a while, but i wasn’t ready to work on “something of that scope” :))))) bc of this jam i was able to cut it down to story only and make it properly bare bones

I followed my instincts and got the good ending first try 😌 Went back and got all three bad ends after of course, very funny and well-done.

wooooh, thanks a ton! glad you liked it

I just did what I wouldn't do in a real life (except coffe, I don't drink coffe in real life and chose the same in game) and got a good ending...

congrats on beating the creep!

now you just gotta do the same irl, right? if only it was that easy

I did from the first attempt and it was like. I want to make life of this character worse so I won't choose what I would choose. It was a moment of realization that I am on the bottom of the pit, inside another pit while I just thought that I am in a pit

Haha! This was fun! Oh man - you got me, I mean, scope creep cought me 😁. I’ve been there so many times… I’m laughing at myself right now. I love autothematic stories 👌

yeah i had a hard time putting out anything new recently, i always get got by the old creep. so i thought its a good theme for a jam called “bare bones” :))))
