I very much liked the twist of switching roles and playing as the tavernkeep that serves the adventurers instead! The gameplay was in that sweet spot between stressful and fun, and the humor kept catching me riiight when I wasn't expecting it.

So If you ever plan on expanding this, there is lots of potential!!

thanks glad you liked it, i will upload one post-jam build for this fixing some issues and giving an “ending” to the story, and then maybe a cooking update in the future

I think you were one of the first people to upload a game for the jam right? Kudos because this is great!!! It's cute, simple, and straightforward.

I don't know if you ever plan to do a full release beyond the jam version, but I'd be excited to see the cooking mechanic in action.  I also really enjoy your sense of humor and writing style. "Give me water or I shall perish" had me cracking the fuck up. - -- me too knight guy, me too.

Great work Peb!

thanks glad you liked it

i might come back to this later to add cooking, i had a very simple mechanic planned with just a couple of recipes

if you liked knight-san he appears also in my earlier game grindest days. the witch character is there as well

Cool! I like the music

thanks! all this music is from the default rpgmaker rtp, but i did try to choose tracks to fit the gameplay loop

I made it to Day 11 before quitting. The old woman seemed to glitch from Day 5 onward. And my precious flour supply went untapped. But I still had fun!

thanks that is further than i thought anyone would go

what happened with the old lady? she should only appear for 3 days and then never show up again

flour is a poor investment at the moment, until i add cooking. maybe i should just make some patrons order it and eat it straight so it doesnt go to waste

The old lady kept showing up but I couldn't interact with her after Day 4. So she would sit around until closing time. 🤷‍♂️

And I would personally love to serve customers a heaping plate of flour!
